Mark and his team at Athletes' Performance will be instrumental in helping GoFit develop cutting edge equipment and first class educational material that will bring out the true potential in all of us and help you achieve and lead a better quality of life through physical fitness, profper rest and recovery and nutrition.
Mark Verstegen directs a 25-person team of performance specialists and nutritionists to train some of the biggest names in sports. He is recognized as a leader in athletic performance training, developing and implementing unique and breakthrough concepts in athletic performance.
Verstegen began his coaching career at his alma mater, Washington State University. From there he became Assistant Director of Player Development at Georgia Tech where he implemented innovative and successful performance programs for football, men's basketball and golf. In 1995, Verstegen ventured to Bradenton, Florida to create the International Performance Institute to what would become known worldwide under Verstegen's direction. His continual pursuit for quality and vision of creating a cacility completely dedicated to helping athletes achieve their goals came to fruition in 1999 with the development of Athletes' Performance in Tempe, Arizona. Athletes' Performance opened a second facility in 2003 at the Home Depot Center outside of Los Angeles, California.
Mark currently serves as the President of Athletes' Performance, where he ensures that the company lives up to its mission: Improve athletes' performance, decrease their potential for injury and motivate them through education. The results for the athletes: Increased career productivity, improved career longevity, and long-term strategies for success.

In 2002, Verstegen was named the Director of Performance for the NFLPA. With this appointment, Verstegen and Athletes' Performance support the players and the NFLPA with their committment to player safety and welfare.
In 2003, Verstegen was named Executive Producer of the fitness program for Sportskool, the nation's first video-on-demand cable network dedicated to expert sports and fitness instruction. The network, which is currently carried on Cablevision's digital cable television platform, reaches over 3 million viewers and is planned to reach tens of millions more in the coming years. Mark has already led the development and delivery of over 30 hours of fitness instruction that gives viewers at home access to the cutting-edge techniques that Athletes' Performance uses with its elite athletes.
n 2004, Verstegen released "Core Performance" (Rodale Press), a book he co-authored with sports journalist, Pete Williams. Core Performance is a revolutionary workout program designed to transform people's bodies and lives, showing readers how to:
