Tulsa, Oklahoma (September 29, 2008) – Further propelling their reputation to bring the most innovative fitness products to the retail market, GoFit—the country's leading handheld fitness manufacturer, launches THE GRAVITY BAR. This revolutionary piece of equipment transforms a standard doorway into a multifunctional gym, bringing the highly efficient Gravity Training methods into your home for the very first time. Consisting of an industrial mounting bar featuring modern design elements and adjustable length straps, THE GRAVITY BAR literally makes your body weight all of the resistance necessary to build strength, as well as to increase balance and core stability. Much like the total body strengthening techniques used by world-class athletes and gymnasts, this unique form of functional training defies gravity by suspending your body weight above the earth's surface with the ease of adjustable straps.
"Until now it was virtually impossible to perform this type of training within your home," says Richard Davis, Co-Founder of GoFit. "Your body is the only gym you will ever need. If you weigh 200 pounds, you have the equivalency of a 200 pound weight stack ready at your convenience. Your resistance or weight stack can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing your body angle."
Also included with THE GRAVITY BAR is a 45-minute training DVD, featuring expert instruction methods from certified fitness expert and world class athlete, Os Aponte. According to Aponte, THE GRAVITY BAR offers endless combinations of integrated exercises for all levels of athletic endurance. "In everyday life, we're constantly bending, reaching and twisting," says Aponte. "These motions don't use isolated groups of muscles, rather they combine major muscle groups with your core and stabilizer muscles to perform the action. Because you are ultimately in control of your own level of resistance, one can begin as a novice and quickly transition to more advanced techniques."
The GoFit GRAVITY BAR is sold for $79.99 is available at gofit.net or at a leading retailer near you. For more information, please visit gofit.net.
